Spirit operates about 500 flights every day and covers more than 60 destinations within the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean.
JetBlue launched new service from Milwaukee in March of 2022 that included daily nonstop flights to and from Boston and New York's JFK airport. Delta also added daily service from Milwaukee to JFK. This means flyers from Milwaukee have direct flight options to each of the three major airports in the New York City area.

After a months-long bidding war, JetBlue Airways has agreed to buy Spirit Airlines for $3.8 billion. The deal, which was announced in July and approved by Spirit shareholders on Wednesday, would create the fifth largest airline, behind American Airlines, Delta, United and Southwest.
MILWAUKEE (November 15, 2022) – – Sun Country Airlines has announced its summer 2023 schedule from Milwaukee, which will include nonstop flights to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul beginning May 5, 2023.
The completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of required regulatory approvals. Spirit and JetBlue expect to conclude the regulatory process and close the transaction no later than the first half of 2024.
